Our client is a market leading supplier of packaging machinery into a great variety of applications within the FMCG and wider industrial packaging sector. At this time, we are looking for an experienced capital equipment Sales Manager with a significant background in machinery sales to join the business in a high-level management role. On offer to the successful candidate is the opportunity to work closely with the Managing Director in leading and mentoring a team of professional salespeople through a significant growth period for the business. As the Sales Director for the business, it will be your primary responsibility to oversee all aspects of the sales operations for the company, including; budgeting, sales performance, staff development and mentoring, trade shows, crm management etc. As a member of the Executive Team, you will also interact regularly with the Marketing and Technical Managers, along with the General Manger, in achieving the greater goals for the business. Ideally the person we are seeking will be able to demonstrate most or all of the following selection criteria: You possess tertiary Qualifications in appropriate fields such as Commerce, Marketing, or an MBA. Experience with capital equipment solution sales to multi-nationals, corporates, family businesses and SMEs Minimum of five years in Sales and Business Development leadership Proven experience in successfully managing sales resources in satellite territory offices. Experience within a large Food Producer in Sales, Operations or Production management could be an advantage. Proven Business Development and customer retention strategies. A strong ability to open up new channels and market segments as well as expanding existing markets. Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven leadership experience to motivate and manage a local and international sales team.
