The opportunity We’re seeking a Risk Advisory Manager – Advice to join our Risk and Legal team, supporting our Advice Business. In this role, you’ll partner with business leaders to provide expert risk and compliance advice, safeguarding UniSuper through effective controls assurance and oversight. You’ll help shape, influence, and challenge how our teams think about risk and compliance, ensuring our frameworks are embedded in day-to-day operations. Key responsibilities include: Providing oversight, challenge, and subject matter expertise across Line 1 risk and assurance activities, including risk management, control assurance, incident management, and emerging risks. Developing and maturing risk capability within business teams, translating risk theory into better member outcomes. Building strong relationships and actively participating in key Advice forums, elevating the quality of risk discussions. Overseeing and challenging major projects and BAU changes, ensuring risk is appropriately considered and reported. Delivering independent insights into business risks, supporting executive and board-level reporting, and surfacing emerging risks. Supporting the development, implementation, and embedding of enterprise-wide risk frameworks. Acting as a key liaison for training, education, and support, ensuring consistent engagement between business and specialist teams. About you You’ll bring: Extensive professional experience in enterprise risk and/or compliance. Deep knowledge of financial planning processes. Strong understanding of the legislative and regulatory framework governing superannuation, funds management, advice, or financial services. Experience partnering with business teams to embed risk and compliance, balancing commercial objectives with risk management. Strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering skills, ideally within superannuation or financial services. Confidence influencing across all levels, able to navigate complex topics and guide risk-aware decisions. Relevant accreditations in Risk, Compliance, or Financial Planning are preferred.
