Retail E-Commerce Assistant (Shopify & MailChimp Specialist) Location: Malvern (with some flexibility for remote work) Type: Casual | $32–$40/hr depending on experience About Us Origen Imports is a small lifestyle boutique in Malvern with a growing online store. We’re passionate about beautiful fashion, jewellery, and homewares from around the world and just as passionate about creating a warm, personal experience for our customers. We’re looking for a Retail E-Commerce Assistant who enjoys variety: one day helping update our Shopify store, the next designing a MailChimp campaign, and another optimising product listings or creating fresh web content. Key Responsibilities E-Commerce & Website Management • Maintain and update our Shopify store: product listings, images, and content. • Apply best practices to improve product visibility and presentation. Email Marketing & Digital Support • Create, schedule, and manage MailChimp email campaigns. • Collaborate on campaign ideas that drive engagement and sales. • Design simple graphics and promotional material using Canva. Basic SEO Experience • Understanding of on-page SEO fundamentals, including keyword research, meta tags, title optimisation, and content structuring. • Optimise product pages, category pages, and blog content for improved search visibility. • Identify opportunities for organic growth and better site performance. Analytics & Reporting • Track and analyse campaign performance (MailChimp and website). • Support with Google and sales data to help inform marketing and buying decisions. Retail Support • Provide occasional in-store support when needed. Previous Experience / Qualifications • 1–3 years of hands-on digital marketing experience , with the ability to demonstrate previous work and results . • Currently undertaking or completed a degree in Marketing or a related field . • Genuine experience with Shopify and MailChimp (essential). • Strong skills in Canva for design and content creation. • Understanding of SEO fundamentals and e-commerce best practices. • Proactive, reliable, and aligned with the culture of a growing small business. • Highly motivated to learn, adapt, and grow within the fast-evolving digital marketing space.
