Full-time. 2-year fixed-term opportunity Join the InsideOut Institute for Eating Disorders, a collaborative and research-driven environment where you can grow your academic profile and contribute to impactful disciplinary research Base Salary $89,831 - $113,400 17% superannuation About the opportunity This role offers the opportunity to apply and continue developing your research expertise to advance the InsideOut Institute’s research agenda. Working both independently and as part of a collaborative research team, you will contribute to discipline knowledge through high-quality research and a strong understanding of your specialist area. Operating under broad supervision, you will plan, prioritise and carry out your work using sound judgement, selecting appropriate methods to achieve research outcomes. As a subject matter expert, you will provide informed advice as the first point of contact for your area and resolve routine matters, while working with colleagues to address more complex issues. This position is well-suited to emerging researchers who are committed to building their research profile and contributing to a supportive, collaborative academic environment. Your key responsibilities will be to: Conduct research and scholarly or professional activities, independently or as part of a team, to contribute to disciplinary knowledge. Develop and refine independent research skills under the guidance of senior academic staff. Provide informal mentoring and academic advice to students within the discipline. Carry out administrative responsibilities and actively participate in faculty or school meetings. Contribute to a positive workplace culture that values diversity of thought, collaboration, excellence, and outcomes. Support initiatives that advance the strategic priorities of the University and faculty or school. About you Completed PhD in a relevant field. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and deliver engaging presentations supported by strong computer literacy skills. Proven customer service capability with well-developed planning and organisational skills. Demonstrated understanding of the discipline’s subject matter, supported by experience conducting original research or engaging in scholarly activity. A developing research profile and growing network of academic, industry and professional collaborators. Strong research skills with the ability to contribute effectively to team-based and independent academic activities. Sponsorship / work rights for Australia You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply.
