A Metropolitan NSW hospital requires a Registrar/PHO in Internal Medicine from 01/12/2025 to 30/01/2026. Locum Registrar for Day shift Chemo/Dialysis $120 per hour No travel/ no accommodation/no overtime Dates –Shifts listed below. Will preference locum that can take the full block of shifts Dialysis- A 10-chair satellite haemodialysis unit is being established at HKH as part f the stage 2A development Chemo-It has 5 chairs and an isolation room with another chair. The aim is to provide Chemotherapy in a day unit, so patients do not have to travel as far as RNSH. But we have also been catering to IVIG, Transfusions of blood products and Iron infusion needs in our cohort of patients. The busy days usually tend to be Monday/Wednesday and Thursdays as we tend to book patients in on days when they also have an appointment to see the consultants. It saves them an extra trip to the hospital. Section 4: Daily routine - Check in with the nursing staff re the patients coming in on the day and their needs. - Check the results on pt who are on the Blood watch list [sometimes may need to be pushed to end of day as some may be having them done on the day and need time to become available.] - On Clinic days, I have been helping Dr Rutovitz review patients particularly new pts being transferred to us for treatment or follow up ones. - Review Patients when they come in for their Chemotherapy. - Documentation and Generate notes in to eMR at the end of the day. - Liase with consultants particularly re blood tests and new developments. - Make changes to order sets and approve drugs on MOSAIQ when they have been missed by the prescribing doctor. - Make scripts for patients according to their needs. - All bloods products and chemo is charted for patients for the next day. 01/12/2025 – 30/01/2026 (0800-1400) including 30 min unpaid meal break Not required on public holidays or 31/12/25 For further information about this job, please contact Neil Morton on 1300 900 100.
