The role We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Registered Nurses to join our team on a casual basis. As a valued member of our clinical team, you will be pivotal in delivering safe, high quality and contemporary clinical care to our residents. You will play an important role in providing supervision and guidance to care staff, ensuring a resident-centric approach and high level of care and support is provided to our residents at all times. Key responsibilities Providing high-quality medical care, including assessing residents' health conditions, monitoring vital signs, and managing medications and treatments. Managing and dressing wounds, preventing infections, and promoting proper wound healing. Undertake, or supervise others to undertake, clinical care for individual residents as required, including complex wound care, pain management, behaviour management, end of-life care and other clinical procedures as may be necessary from time-to-time. Liaise with relevant Residential care staff, medical, allied health, hospital and other specialist health practitioners to ensure residents receive high level clinical care. Qualifications, knowledge and experience required for the role Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) administered though the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Recent experience within the Aged Care Industry Recent experience in caring for high care and dementia residents Knowledge of wound care, palliative care, behaviour management, clinical assessments, care plans Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards and accreditation requirements.
