Vacancies Registered Nurse, Don Medical Clinic Don Medical Clinic Location: North West Tasmania Occupation: Nursing Position Type: Permanent, Part Time Don Medical Clinic is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join their friendly general practice team in Devonport, Tasmania. This part-time position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients while working in a supportive, GP-owned clinic. The Position As a Registered Nurse in general practice, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting GPs with clinical examinations and procedures Administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments Coordinating chronic disease management and care plans Providing health education, nursing care, and emotional support Managing vaccines and cold chain to Australian Standards Supporting in-office procedures including skin lesion removals, wound care, ECGs, and spirometry Maintaining accurate medical records using Best Practice Software Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care Requirements: Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse Minimum 2 years’ experience in general practice or community healthcare (preferred) Strong clinical skills and evidence-based practice knowledge Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (Best Practice experience preferred) Nurse Immuniser certification and wound care training (highly regarded) The Organisation Don Medical Clinic is an independent, GP-owned practice located in the heart of Devonport, Tasmania.
