About the Role: We are seeking a Psychologist within the Forensic Mental Health Service, to join a dynamic and collaborative team dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals at the intersection of mental health and the criminal justice system, in Risdon Vale, Southern Tasmania. Opening date: 5 Nov 2025 12:00am Closing date: 4 Dec 2025 11:55pm Key responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and risk evaluations to gain a deep understanding of problem behaviours and their relationship with offending. Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, providing individual and group therapy interventions to support client recovery and rehabilitation. Collaborate with legal professionals, case managers, and healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to client care. Prepare detailed reports and court documentation, contributing to the legal process and the overall understanding of complex cases. Actively participate in case conferences and team meetings, fostering a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to client care. Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
