Join a Leading Project Team on a Landmark Mechanical Works Package Tecside Group is seeking an experienced Project Planner / Coordinator (Mechanical) to join a high-performing team in Port Kembla. This is a dynamic and hands-on site-based role supporting the successful planning and execution of mechanical, piping, and structural scopes on a major industrial project. About the Role As the Project Planner / Coordinator , you will be instrumental in developing detailed work packs, coordinating resources, and aligning daily and weekly activities with project goals. Reporting to the Construction Superintendent and working closely with engineering teams and subcontractors, your role ensures seamless execution of works while upholding safety, quality, and schedule performance. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage mechanical, piping, and structural work packs. Coordinate project fronts between site supervisors, subcontractors, and engineers. Track progress against schedules and milestones, identifying deviations early. Prepare lookahead schedules and weekly/monthly progress reports. Champion safety in planning and execution, ensuring compliance with BlueScope and regulatory standards. Support resource and material coordination to meet execution timelines. Work closely with subcontractors to ensure alignment on deliverables and deadlines. Assist in resolving on-site planning and sequencing challenges. About You Qualifications & Experience: Trade background or tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or similar. 5 years' experience in planning/coordinating mechanical works in construction, mining, or heavy industry. Proven experience with mechanical installations, fabrication, or structural assembly. Skills & Attributes: Strong understanding of construction methodologies and mechanical systems. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with field teams and contractors. Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills. Proficient in tracking productivity, preparing reports, and identifying schedule risks. Committed to high standards of safety and quality.
