Description Overview To assist with the project management of corporate actions (e.g. floats, takeovers, buy-backs, rights issues) and project manage minor corporate actions under supervision. Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities Strategic Focus Assistance with and management of ad hoc team projects Contribute to the preparation and implementation of a cost-efficient and effective business plan to ensure the Capital Markets Group contributes positively to MUFG MPMS’s strategic plan. Operational Management Produce documentation as directed by CRMs and BDMs Distribution of reporting to clients Report production on a weekly and monthly basis Maintenance of Orient Capital’s Clients & Contacts Database as directed by CRMs As directed, assist project managers with tasks associated with corporate actions including preparation of project documentation and attending internal/external suppliers Under direct supervision, project manage minor corporate actions by planning, scoping, and resourcing projects Prepare professional project management documentation (workflow sheets, business rules, risk strategies, roles and responsibilities, supplier contracts) and ensure approval prior to commencement Manage execution and delivery of capital markets projects on time and within budget, ensuring compliance with processes Assist with preparation of invoices and review third-party invoices for corporate action projects Provide support to Campaigns Analyst for Contact Centre/Campaign requirement. People Leadership Point of contact for wider business group in the absence of CRMs Governance & Risk Communication with clients and internal stakeholders Champion the approvals for access to database Ensure all legislative, client, organisational and project requirements are met in a timely manner Participate in hindsight reviews of projects, analysing documentation and controls to improve processes The above list of key accountabilities is not an exhaustive list and may change from time-to-time based on business needs. Experience & Persional Attributes Knowledge of the securities industry and financial markets, including Corporations Law, ASTC Settlement Rules and ASX Listing Rules. Aptitude and willingness to develop successful project management skills. Analytical and problem solving skills. Effective oral and written communication skills including strong negotiation skills, and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels with people from both within and outside MUFG MPMS. Demonstrated high level of initiative, motivation and organisational skills, with the ability to determine work priorities, and work independently to strict deadlines. Flexibility - able to meet demanding deadlines and work extra hours to meet those deadlines, as required. Knowledge of financial markets/law/securities industry or similar on the job experience, preferred, not essential Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. Microsoft office applications) an advantage
