About the role: * The Road Policing Projects Division provides a project management service to Road Policing Command through the centralised and strategic coordination and management of the Command's Government funded projects. * This role manages the In Car Video team and provides project support to other projects within the Division. The In Car Video team works to support the use of In Car Video Systems by Victoria Police members by providing technical assistance and training. * This role requires significant and regular travel throughout the state that may require overnight stays. * This role reports directly to the Project Manager, Mobile Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) Team. Your duties will include: * Leading the In Car Video team by providing daily management of operational services. * Providing technical and logistical support to the team and operational members as required. This will include travel to remote regional areas and involves overnight stays. * Managing resources to provide support to members, key stakeholders, and the Division. * Providing effective leadership and management to a small technical team. * Other duties as directed to support the Road Policing Projects Division. About You: The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience: * Must have a current Victorian Drivers Licence * Experience in fixing and/or replacing technical equipment in vehicles is highly desirable. * Experience in project management, supporting both strategic and small-scale projects. * Ability to conduct research, analyse, monitor, and develop technology-based project work within specific timelines. * Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. * Proven ability to prioritise and complete tasks to meet strict deadlines in an environment of limited supervision. * Well-developed knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel * Experience in managing a small team.
