Description THE ROLE Join us in delivering the infrastructure essential for modern Australia. As a Project Engineer with the Power Projects Team, you will lead the design and execution of high-voltage substation and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects throughout Victoria. We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of a large-scale substation project located in the western suburbs of Melbourne. This is a site-based position with a drive-in, drive-out schedule, making it ideal for an engineer who thrives in a fast-paced delivery environment. In this role, you will work closely with the Project Manager and on-site teams to coordinate construction activities, monitor progress, and ensure that technical, safety, and quality standards are maintained throughout all phases of the project. Some of the key responsibilities include: Assess risks in construction to ensure safe execution and compliance with environmental and quality standards. Coordinate and manage construction engineering activities to ensure timely, budget-friendly, and quality-driven project delivery. Lead by example and consistently promote key aspects of Zero Harm when working with operational teams. Collaborate with project teams to form active and effective business improvements that eliminate waste and minimise operational costs. Take the lead in managing subcontractors while advising on commercial matters and performance. ABOUT YOU You bring a sharp engineering mind, practical problem-solving skills, and a track record of delivering complex plans on time and to a high level. A Trade or Engineering (Electrical or similar) qualification and/or a Diploma in Project Management. Additionally, you must possess experience delivering electrical utility projects. Experience in the Energy Supply Industry, ideally in substation delivery Familiarity with tools like MS Project, Primavera P6, @Risk, Expert Estimator OUR OFFER Generous salary on offer and all the tools to do your job.
