Description Job Purpose We are seeking a Project Controls Specialist to join our Projects delivery team on a 24-month contract. In this role, you will apply your project scheduling and controls expertise to support DP World’s projects across Australia. You will track project progress, monitor cost, schedule, scope baselines, and support reporting. You will also assist with contract coordination, including payment approvals and change requests, and contribute to other project execution activities such as cash forecasting, risk management, and preparation of presentations. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and report project performance against baselines, maintain key documentation (WBS, OBS, risk registers), and assist with expenditure forecasting Manage and update project schedules, ensuring accurate progress tracking for external parties (consultants, contractors, etc.) Prepare and deliver insightful reports, presentations, budgets, and cash forecasts to support implementation and management teams Support contract administration processes, including payment processing and handling variations Coordinate stakeholder engagement, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on actions and escalations Maintain accurate project records in SharePoint and ensure compliance with OHS&E standards through proactive risk management Qualifications, Skills and Experience required: Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline 5–7 year’s experience in major infrastructure projects; exposure to government-funded/PPP projects desirable Strong project planning and controls capability; experience with EOTs, variations, forensic scheduling, and EVM preferred Knowledge of commercial management and construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, AS4000); experience with contract administration beneficial Proficient in MS Project/Primavera P6, MS Office; familiarity with SharePoint/Procore/ACC; BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) advantageous Strong communication, problem-solving, financial acumen, and willingness to develop within the marine/terminal industry About DP World Trade is the lifeblood of the global economy, creating opportunities and improving the quality of life for people around the world.
