About the role Tourism Australia (TA) is seeking a dynamic Procurement Manager to support and manage the end-to-end procurement process of designated business units while ensuring compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPR) and internal procurement policies. This role is a permanent full-time opportunity based in our Sydney office and reports into the Head of Procurement. You will be responsible for but not limited to: Ensuring timely and accurate recording of all procurements and maintaining orderly contract management processes. Assessing tender applications for compliance with CPRs. Advising on appropriate procurement methods (open, select, or direct source). Concluding procurement processes and ensuring contracts are registered and filed. Assisting with the development and maintenance of procurement policies, procedures, and manuals. Supporting the delivery of procurement and contract management reporting solutions. Ensuring CPR reporting requirements are met and maintained after contract commencement. Driving proactive engagement with staff globally to manage procurements. Providing procurement advice, training, and assistance to all staff. Managing key stakeholder relationships, including those in international markets. Continuously seek improvements, efficiencies, and further digitisation of procurement processes. Leveraging AI and digital tools to improve efficiency. About you Tertiary qualifications in business, accounting, or finance or equivalent experience Demonstrated experience in a Procurement or Category role and in management of the procurement process Proven ability to clearly understand and interpret stakeholder needs and consistently apply relevant policies and procedures Ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with stakeholders across different levels. Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking, proactive initiative, and sound commercial judgement. Knowledge of the tourism and travel industry or public sector management would be advantageous Willingness to be flexible with working hours as part of a multinational organisation About us Tourism Australia is the Australian Government agency responsible for attracting international visitors to Australia, both for leisure and business events.
