Join us as our Principal Procurement Officer (AO7). Your opportunity As the Principal Procurement Officer, you'll be a key contact for QFD's internal stakeholders - responsible for the procurement governance, sourcing, support services, and management of specialised equipment, General Goods and Services (GGS).With a focus on compliance you'll ensure you and your team complies with Queensland Procurement Policy and Queensland Government Contracting Frameworks. Based at QFD State Headquarters in Albion, you will: - Lead and manage strategic medium to high-risk procurement projects and ensure positive outcomes to meet client and stakeholder objectives. - Manage a team of practitioners to provide sourcing and contract administration services in relation to General Goods and Services procurement and contracts, with a focus on identification and realisation of savings and operational benefits. - Develop category management strategies and plans and ensure appropriate governance frameworks and controls are managed for effective procurement and administration activities. What you'll bring - Be an experienced Government procurement professional with strong situational awareness and understanding of category management principles. - Have a Queensland Government Level 4 Purchasing Certification or equivalent. - Be a relationship-builder who can develop trust across internal and external stakeholders - Be a confident communicator able to cross the acronym and jargon divide between procurement professionals and internal clients to increase understanding and assistance - Reflect the values of QFD and guide your team to service your clients at a high level, as well as provide mentoring and coaching QFD are proud to be recognised as an employer of choice for women by Work180 and celebrate all diversity by committing to a culture where people feel safe, respected, valued and engaged.
