Principal Consultant - Human-Centred Design & Human Factors Join us in the Brisbane office as a Principal Consultant at Sener Aerospace & Defence. You will lead human‑centred design, human factors, and accessibility initiatives on large‑scale infrastructure projects, ensuring our major infrastructure projects are safe, intuitive, and accessible for everyone. About the Opportunity This key position bridges technology and people. You will communicate and collaborate with engineers, clients, and end‑users, translating complex technical requirements into user‑friendly and inclusive designs. Key Responsibilities Lead human‑centred design, human factors, and accessibility initiatives on large‑scale infrastructure projects. Advise and collaborate with project teams, engineers, and clients to integrate user needs into design and development. Conduct research, workshops, and user studies to inform design decisions. Ensure all designs and solutions meet relevant accessibility standards. Provide expert guidance and consultation, representing the company at a senior level. Support international projects as required. About You Extensive experience in human‑centred design, human factors, and accessibility, with a strong portfolio of work. Proven ability to confidently engage with and influence senior stakeholders, engineers, and clients. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively. A passion for creating designs that are functional, safe, efficient, and accessible to all. A proactive and collaborative mindset, ready to tackle complex challenges and contribute to a high‑performing team. Requirements 7 years’ experience in human‑centred design or a related discipline, including at a leadership level. A relevant degree (bachelor or master). Membership of a relevant professional body, with a desire to achieve registered/chartered status.
