The Role We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse (General) for casual shifts to join our practice nursing team. This role suits early-career and experienced clinicians who enjoy variety, teamwork, and direct patient care in a fast-paced primary care setting. Duties include clinical nursing tasks, patient education, chronic disease support, and assisting the clinical team with smooth, safe practice operations. Key Responsibilities Perform clinical procedures such as wound care, immunisations, venepuncture, ECGs, and point-of-care testing. Undertake triage, vital signs assessment, and pre-consultation screening to support efficient patient flow. Provide patient education on chronic disease management, preventive care, medication administration and lifestyle modification. Support recall and reminder systems for immunisations, screening and chronic disease reviews. Collaborate with GPs, allied health and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care and accurate clinical documentation. Maintain infection control standards, medication safety, and clinical governance practices. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in staff training and clinical meetings. Who We’re Looking For General registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Experience across primary care, community nursing, or hospital settings is valued; candidates with 1–10 years’ experience are encouraged to apply. Excellent interpersonal, communication and patient education skills with a calm, professional demeanour. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently on casual shifts.
