The Role Join a hardworking team in the poultry farming industry, based in Wellington, NSW. This is a practical, hands-on role in a dynamic farm environment where animal welfare, teamwork, and safety are top priorities. You'll work both independently and with others to support the efficient operation and maintenance of poultry sheds and equipment. Key Responsibilities In this role, you'll perform a range of poultry care and farm maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth running of the operation, including: Controlling pests and vermin Operating farming equipment safely and efficiently Preparing and cleaning sheds, equipment, and spreading litter for new bird placement Setting up for depopulation and cleanouts Catching, holding, and handling birds to ensure animal welfare standards are met Carrying out cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitising of equipment, machines, and buildings within the farm Dismantling and reassembling farm equipment as needed Collecting, grading, and storing eggs to company specifications Performing vaccinations and supporting shed cleanouts Benefits Pay rate: $35.49 per hour plus penalty rates Duration: 6 months, with potential to become ongoing Schedule: 38 hours per week Develop your animal handling skills in a structured farm environment Work in a professional, well-supported team that values safety and efficiency Your Skills & Experience To succeed in this role, you'll bring: Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions Physical fitness and willingness to complete labour-intensive duties Previous experience in animal handling or a similar farm environment A positive, reliable, and safety-conscious attitude Choose Agri Labour Australia Agri Labour Australia is an award-winning Australian company with clients in every State and Territory.
