Mackay Hospital and Health Service The Mackay HHS region covers Sarina in the south, Clermont in the west, and Bowen and the Whitsunday Islands in the northeast. It services approximately 182,000 people in an area of approximately 90,000km2. The Mackay Isaac Whitsunday Region has a thriving economy that includes a diverse range of tourism, agriculture, industry, mining, education, and health industries.
