Oracle Database Administrator Location: Canberra (Onsite required) Contract Length: 12 Months (Possible extensions) Clearance: Current TSPV mandatory Overview We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator with deep expertise in Oracle Exadata environments to support a major federal programme. This role will work within a high-security environment, ensuring the availability, performance, and integrity of mission-critical database systems. Key Responsibilities Administer, maintain, and optimise Oracle databases across Exadata platforms. Perform routine database tasks including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning. Monitor database performance, diagnose issues, and implement remedial actions to maintain optimal system health. Support migration, consolidation, and modernisation activities within secure Oracle environments. Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and standards. Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cyber teams to ensure secure and stable database operations. Key Experience & Skills Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator in large, complex environments. Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata Experience working within secure government or defence environments. Ability to troubleshoot both database and Exadata infrastructure issues.
