The Role The Officer, Child Safety Projects assists with providing operational guidance and policy support for the early childhood education and care sector. The role involves working with policy and regulatory systems teams to help with policy analysis and advice, including responding to phone and email enquiries accurately and promptly, as well as developing operational practice guidance. This position contributes to the work of the Child Safety Projects team by coordinating tasks and supporting work streams related to child safety, and by ensuring clear communication about processes and workflows. This role is full time and fixed-term (until 30 June 2026) at ACECQA Band 4 ($88,932 - $99,174). The key duties of the position include Key Accountabilities  Deliver moderately complex operational policy advice and information to stakeholders via phone and email ensuring clarity, accuracy and alignment with early childhood legislative and regulatory frameworks. Interpret and communicate legislative requirements in plain English to diverse audiences to support compliance and decision-making. Support and coordinate the development, preparation and maintenance of operational policy guidance and materials, ensuring accuracy and consistency with organisational standards and legislative obligations. Ability to prioritise and manage tasks efficiently and meet deadlines. Proactively manage time to deliver accurate information in a professional manner. Build trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support an environment of knowledge sharing. Support and contribute to organisational projects and initiatives as required. Other duties as required.
