About us Believe and Become Pty Ltd is a small private occupational therapy and play therapy clinic providing services to children and young people in the Wollondilly region. Family owned and operated by Wollondilly locals, we are passionate about increasing access to allied health services locally. We have fast gained a reputation as a high-quality, family-centred and neurodiversity affirming practice. About the role We have an exciting opportunity for an early-career or experienced paediatric occupational therapist to join our team. 2025 graduates are welcome to apply. We offer services to children and young people with a range of disabilities, with a high percentage being neurodivergent. The successful applicant will have opportunities to work in our purpose-designed clinic at Tahmoor, and in the local community, including in preschools, schools, and homes. They will conduct assessments and provide therapy to meet the needs of children and young people in areas including play, self-care, fine motor, gross motor, executive function, sensory processing, social and communication skills, managing emotions, school readiness, self-awareness and self-advocacy, and supporting key life transitions. Successful applicants will have access to ongoing regular supervision and professional development opportunities to continue to grow and develop as life-long learners. About you You will be passionate about regional families having access to high-quality occupational therapy without having to leave the Wollondilly area. You will collaborate and communicate effectively with clients, families, educators, other health professionals, funding bodies, and the Believe and Become team to deliver exceptional services that are evidence-based and family-centred. Essential criteria A degree in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration (or soon to graduate) Current Medicare Provider number, or ability to register for one Current Police Check and Working with Children Check Current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor information for various audiences Demonstrated understanding of the role of occupational therapy in working with children and young people with a range of disabilities, including neurodivergence, in affirming ways Demonstrated exceptional skills in working in partnership and collaborating with a range of stakeholders Demonstrated high level of attention to detail, ability to manage time, prioritise tasks effectively, meet all documentation requirements, and work with a high degree of independence A commitment to upholding the BELIEVE Core Values Desirable criteria Current First Aid Certificate Previous demonstrated experience working effectively with children and young people as an occupational therapist (or related role for new graduates) Familiarity with the NDIS How to apply If this role sounds like a great fit for you, please send your resume and written response to the essential and desirable criteria.
