We provide a welcoming and efficient service to both business and leisure travellers, ensuring an exceptional guest experience and smooth day-to-day operations. We are seeking a proactive and experienced Motel Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of motel operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, supervising guest services, monitoring performance, and ensuring operational excellence across departments. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations Management Direct and oversee daily operations including reservations, reception, room service, housekeeping, and general guest services. Supervise and support motel staff, including recruitment, induction, training, rostering, and ongoing performance evaluations. Coordinate property and garden maintenance, ensuring that security arrangements and facility standards are maintained to a high level. Financial & Administrative Management Manage the motel’s financial operations, including budgeting, revenue and expense monitoring, accounting, and purchasing activities. Maintain comprehensive operational records and prepare regular management and performance reports for business review. Oversee supplier contracts and purchasing processes to ensure cost-efficiency and compliance with financial policies. Guest Experience & Quality Assurance Monitor and evaluate guest service standards to ensure customer satisfaction and positive feedback. Respond to and resolve escalated guest concerns promptly and professionally. Provide accurate information about local attractions and tourism activities, arranging tours and transportation when required. Compliance & Business Management Ensure compliance with all relevant workplace, health and safety, and hospitality industry regulations. Supervise risk management and audit processes to maintain safety and operational quality. Ensure that all operational and administrative systems meet industry and legal standards. Marketing & Business Development Implement strategies to enhance the motel’s visibility, occupancy rates, and guest retention. Collaborate with local tourism operators, businesses, and travel agencies to strengthen partnerships and promote the motel’s services. Strategic Oversight Analyse financial performance, occupancy trends, and customer feedback to guide continuous business improvement. Support the owners in developing and executing long-term operational and marketing plans for the motel’s growth. Skills and Qualifications Tertiary qualification in hospitality management or equivalent relevant experience. At least 1 year of managerial experience in the accommodation or hospitality industry. Proven ability to lead and supervise staff effectively. Strong financial literacy with demonstrated experience in budgeting, reporting, and revenue management. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong understanding of WHS and compliance standards. High attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and organisational skills. Position Details Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Location: Bega, NSW Salary: $77,000 per annum plus superannuation Schedule: Full-time role requiring flexibility to work weekends or extended hours when needed
