We provide national leadership on the implementation of the National Quality Framework ( NQF ) and collaborate with the Australian and state and territory governments to: • implement changes that benefit children birth to 13 years-of-age and their families • monitor and promote the consistent application of the Education and Care Services National Law across all states and territories • support the early childhood education and care sector to improve quality outcomes for children We strive for innovation and continuous improvement and are committed to keeping the sector and the community informed with the latest developments in early childhood education and care. ACECQA is committed to being a child-safe organisation, implementing the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and actively promoting the safety and wellbeing of children. The Role The Manager Quality Practice and Programs leads a team of professionals responsible for providing advice on quality programs, practices and policies in children's education and care services and supporting the sector and authorised officers (and other relevant regulatory authority staff) to implement the NQF. This role is full time and fixed-term (7 months) at ACECQA Band 6/7 ($126,436 - $161,939). The key duties of the position include Key Accountabilities • Adhere to the spirit and practice of ACECQA's Code of Conduct, build an inclusive and agile performance culture, and role model ACECQA's values and behaviours, with a focus on quality, standards and continuous improvement through performance planning and management. • Provide leadership and management in the relevant area of expertise relevant to the role and contribute to the overall leadership of the team in line with its core purpose. • Manage assigned functions and projects in consultation with the DNEL and key stakeholders, which may include: overseeing ACECQA's excellent rating function, regulatory authority training and support, leading projects to promote exceptional practice in the children's education and care sector, researching and overseeing the provision of advice to key stakeholders, producing and/or overseeing the design and delivery of professional development programs, and leading the development and production of support materials and resources. • Contribute to the direction of assigned functions and projects in consultation with the DNEL to shape the function or project to serve stakeholder needs, improve efficiency and effectiveness, and fulfil ACECQA's overall commitments and functions. • Deliver briefs, reports, correspondence, presentations, updates, guidelines, information sheets and FAQs to provide expert advice for the ACECQA Executive, Board and external stakeholders. • Act on behalf of ACECQA at inter-jurisdictional meetings and other forums to represent and explain the views of ACECQA within the relevant area of expertise. • Build and maintain effective working relationships with peak organisations, the Australian Government, state and territory regulatory authorities, and other key stakeholders to promote ACECQA's objectives. • Build and maintain stakeholder networks, both internal and external, to identify opportunities, achieve outcomes and facilitate cooperation. • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff across the organisation. • Lead, inspire, motivate and develop staff to deliver ACECQA's business outcomes and support the ACECQA's objectives. • Other duties as required.
