As the Manager, Program Advisory Team, you are responsible for leading a team of sectorial specialists working in collaboration with country office colleagues and partners to drive learning, innovation and practice improvement and build strategic networks related to ChildFund’s priority sectors (Child Protection, Education, Social and Emotional Learning and Health). Key Duties Drive learning and innovation across ChildFund’s key sectoral priorities, strengthening sector engagement, enhancing data utilisation, and overseeing internal communities of practice and technical working groups. Lead the Advisory Services Team to provide high-quality, relevant, and timely technical assistance with partners and Country Offices, aligning with principles of local leadership and capability sharing. Oversee the ongoing strengthening and socialisation of documented sector approaches in line with emerging knowledge and practice, ensuring integration within the Program Handbook and organisational MEL Framework. Support effective knowledge translation by working alongside communications, advocacy, grants, and fundraising teams to effectively communicate ChildFund’s approach, reach, and impact. Manage and mentor the Sector Advisory Services Team, fostering an empowering work environment and promoting a culture of learning, innovation, and collaboration. Provide targeted technical support and oversight to high-priority programs in line with the area of sectoral expertise. Identify and pursue business development opportunities, including supporting grant acquisition and other income-generating activities. With the International Programs Management Team, lead the development of annual workplans, budgets, and reporting, and drive key change projects within the responsibility of the Advisory Services team. Promote and integrate gender equality, disability, and social inclusion into day-to-day work, and remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding or sexual exploitation, abuse, or harassment (SEAH) risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the child safeguarding and PSEAH policy and procedures, and conduct yourself consistent with those policies. Qualifications and Experience Tertiary qualification or comparable professional experience in at least one of ChildFund Australia’s priority sectors (e.g. education, health, child protection) Past professional experience in an (I)NGO setting or government context with significant experience in driving effective programmatic advisory services. Strong people management and mentoring skills, and demonstrated experience leading high performing teams Strong understanding and commitment to safeguarding, gender equality and inclusion. Experience in partnership brokerage and capacity sharing across local civil society organisations. Desirable Experience in a child rights or child/youth focused organisation Experience supporting knowledge translation for strategic communications, fundraising and advocacy Experience with institutional donor funding (i.e. DFAT, MFAT, UN and others)
