This is a Manager, IT Operations role with Reserve Bank of Australia based in Sydney, NSW, AU Reserve Bank of Australia Role Seniority - mid level More about the Manager, IT Operations role at Reserve Bank of Australia We are currently looking for an influential leader, who will inspire, engage and lead the Bank’s Operations team. In that role, you will ensure the availability and continuing evolution and improvement of the Bank’s Technology Services. As the IT Operations Manager, you will also be responsible for ensuring that the IT Operations Team is correctly equipped with the correct tools and skills to be reactive 24/7 for any Technology outages or system failures. You will also be responsible for overseeing and optimising the Bank's event management processes, ensuring seamless execution of technology-related events and leveraging AI operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Do work that makes a difference Provide strong leadership to the IT Operations team to ensure monitoring, response and immediate resolution capabilities to ensure the stability of Bank services. Drive down incidents by empowering teams to continually learn and improve processes with ability to restructure and transform incident management. Ensure that the Bank has capabilities needed to maintain the integrity and availability of production environments including data centres, communication rooms and other related production sites. Maintain and grow a continuous improvement culture and practices across the team. Lead the ongoing maturing of risk management outcomes, processes and culture across IT Operations Acting as an escalation point for all Operational technology incidents Skills and Experience Extensive experience in leading a team providing 24x7 critical operations for critical infrastructure Current working knowledge and commitment to BCP/DR best practices in the Australian finance industry, Australian Government or Infrastructure space. Extensive experience in strategic technology sourcing and vendor management Excellent communication skills with experience in building effective long term relationships Commercial and risk acumen in managing complex technology environments The successful candidate will be on call outside business hours to lead resolution for critical incidents. A strong background in event management and AI operations. Proficient experience in Incident Management and Major Incident Management Proficient experience in managing Network Operations Centre (NOC) teams over a 24x7 roster and available for escalations Experience in real time monitoring technologies with strong analytical and problem-solving skills What’s on offer?
