About the team The primary role of the Technology, Data and Digital Enablement (TDDE) Branch is to enable eSafety to achieve its strategic priorities, performance targets and operational outcomes through the delivery of high quality, contemporary and innovative corporate services, best practice research and analysis, and targeted capability development. TDDE is responsible for: Developing leading edge investigations management software in support of eSafety's remit under the Online Safety Act. Delivering Digital and Data Services, to provide eSafety with an end-to-end digital capability and support informed decision making through the creation of actionable insights resulting from the analysis of eSafety's data assets. Enabling greater staff productivity through connection, collaboration and efficiency. Enhancing reliability and availability by establishing contemporary technology platforms that delivers modern business capabilities. About the roles This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in a small and growing agency working on the front lines of online safety. Three roles are being advertised: Test Manager - Executive Level 1 Senior Automation Tester - Executive Level 1 Test Analyst - APS Level 6 Each provide a key role in ensuring eSafety's systems are designed and built to high standards and operate to requirements. Each will develop strong working relationships across the Technology and Engineering teams, business lines, and their peers to develop and implement testing best practices in the eSafety development environment. The key duties of the position include The key duties applicable to all three roles include: Monitoring testing progress to help inform reporting on key metrics such as risks, issues and resolutions. Building relationships across teams to identify and resolve issues associated with testing processes, procedures and policies. Maintaining currency with testing best practices and automated tooling to ensure testing is of high standard and performed in the most efficient way. In addition to the shared duties, the Test Manager duties will also include: Leading and mentoring a team of software testers, including forward planning, work assignment, and mentoring staff. Collaborating with executive leadership, business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), project teams, and external vendors to ensure successful system integrations and deployments. Leading and hands-on involvement in test execution, and owning the defect recording, reporting and resolution processes. Establishing test strategies, standards, plans, and automation frameworks for functional, non-functional, integration, performance, user acceptance, and security testing. In addition to the shared duties, the Senior Automation Tester duties will also include: Designing, executing, maintaining, and improving testing procedures and scripts using accepted test management tools. Identifying and implementing test automation improvements to existing testing processes to further coverage and efficiencies. Coordinating tests with internal teams, logging thorough bug and issue items, and compiling reports to clearly communicate successes and issues. Managing your time to ensure testing progresses and automation improvements are realised within agreed Business-As-Usual (BAU) and project-related deadlines. In addition to the shared duties, the Test Analyst duties will also include: Planning and conducting testing of new systems and upgrades with the Test Manager and the testing team. Implementing testing procedures appropriate to the system being tested, using accepted test management tools.
