The key duties of the position include From 1 December 2025 AIHW's organisational structure will change. The Corporate Strategy and Performance Division will be home to all AIHW corporate services. The Information and Communications Technology Group (ICTG) will be part of the Corporate Strategy and Performance Division. The ICTG is looking for an EL1 ICT Program Governance manager that reports directly to the Chief Information Technology Officer. They will be responsible for, in consultation with ICT Unit Heads, the development, coordination and reporting of the ICT annual workplan. ICT has a large program of business as usual (BAU) and project work and this is an important governance role that will help establish proactive planning practices and help ensuring the delivery of important work. Under general direction you will: Develop and maintain an annual ICT Program workplan in consultation with ICT unit heads, this includes business as usual planned activities and approved projects. Maintain the ICT fortnightly program and projects report, in consultation with responsible project delivery managers. This process is to facilitate prioritisation conversations and to raise awareness of risks and issues across the ICT workplan. Lead delivery of key project/s by utilising a range of project management methodologies such as Agile, SCRUM, Waterwall and hybrid. Establish strong relationships with delivery managers, ICT Unit Heads , ICT colleagues and the SIO to help identify and resolve issues and risks as they arise. Drive process improvement and help refine ICT delivery practices, frameworks and reporting methods. Ensure there is appropriate project documentation, reports, budget monitoring and delivery schedules. Ensure that projects comply with the ICT delivery model which includes ensuring appropriate transition to service sustainment documentation is delivered. Prepare and present quarterly progress reports for various governance committees. Work closely with the ICT Finance and Procurement Manager and assist with project budget tracking by preparing monthly reports that include budget forecast. Coordinate with the ICT change team in relation to ICT program deliverables to ensure seamless delivery of ICT changes. Work closely with the Strategic Implementation Office (SIO) to ensure ICT program governance, reporting and planning processes remain aligned with whole-of-AIHW governance frameworks and standards. Coordinate ICT inputs into SIO-led organisational reporting, including milestone updates, risk assessments, benefit tracking and preparation of material for Executive reporting. Work in collaboration with the SIO to ensure ICT projects are aligned with the delivery, assurance and reporting practices, being developed for SI6. Relevant tertiary qualifications in ICT and Project Management PRINCE2/Agile/SCUM and/or PMBOK will be highly regarded.
