By continuously improving our platforms and tools, we help the department stay agile, connected, and ready to meet future challenges As an ICT Procurement Manager, you will support the ICT Service Division with timely procurement and contract management. The role involves managing high-volume of procurement activities, ensuring compliance, and providing leadership to enhance team capability. Responsibilities include fostering a customer-focused culture, building strong stakeholder relationships, and delivering innovative solutions. You will evaluate suppliers, analyse risks and market trends, and assist with negotiations to secure competitive terms, ensuring decisions align with regulations, best practices, and organisational objectives. As the ICT Procurement Manager, you will: Deliver effective and timely ICT procurement and contract management support to the Department. Manage labour hire activities for the ICT Service Division maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. Provide professional leadership to enhancing the capability of a team. Apply sound judgement, expertise and knowledge to ensure decisions align with regulations, best practice principles or the agency operating instructions and procedures. Foster and promote a customer focused, respectful and supportive workplace culture. Collaborate, develop and maintain strong relationships with a variety of business areas, clients and outsourced service partners. Generate innovative and practical solutions to complex problems whilst understanding the implications for the department objectives and stakeholders. Evaluate potential suppliers and opportunities by understanding business area's needs, analysing key risks, market trends and cost implications. Support business areas with negotiations with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms. Note: The merit pool established through this selection process, which is valid for a period of eighteen months from the date the vacancy was advertised in the Public Service Gazette, may also be used to fill future ongoing vacancies in the branch where the duties are of a similar nature.
