Description DP World is seeking a proactive and operationally focused HSSE Business Partner to support our Victoria logistics and container park operations. You will work closely with site leaders and operational teams across terminal, warehousing, transport, and rail operations to drive safety strategies, embed a strong safety culture, and ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. In this role, you will translate corporate safety policies into practical, frontline solutions, provide guidance on risk management, and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety performance and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities – Act as the primary HSSE advisor to operational leaders, providing guidance on serious and high-potential incidents, including regulatory notifiable incidents. Support line management in proactively managing operational risks and maintaining safe working practices. Ensure compliance with HSSE legislation, industry standards, and company policies, translating requirements into practical frontline solutions. Implement and maintain HSSE systems aligned with ISO 14001, 45001, and 28000. Support audits, assurance activities, and continuous compliance monitoring. Lead incident investigations, regulatory reporting, and return-to-work processes. Analyse HSSE data and provide actionable insights to inform management decisions. Facilitate environmental initiatives, including decarbonisation projects and reporting (NGER, NPI). Mentor and coach operational teams on HSSE best practices to improve capability and performance. Qualifications, Skills and Experience required: Tertiary qualifications in Health, Safety, and Environment (Degree or Diploma) is desirable. 5 years in HSE or safety advisory roles, ideally in logistics or warehousing. Strong knowledge of CoR, Heavy Vehicle National Law, and regulatory compliance. Proven experience in incident investigations, compliance audits, and risk management. Proficient in HSE management systems and regulatory reporting. Understanding of Rail Safety Act and Dangerous Goods legislation (desirable). Practical, hands-on approach suited to fast-paced, operational environments. High attention to detail and strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
