About the Role ALS Food & Pharmaceutical operates a modern laboratory in Sydney (Rydalmere) that is equipped with the latest in analytical technology. We are seeking a full time HPLC Laboratory Technician to join our well-established team. You’ll be a great communicator with proven analytical and practical problem-solving skills within a GMP environment. This role is Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:15pm. The Day to Day The successful applicant will undertake a range of duties including but not limited to the following: Completing routine laboratory testing. Demonstrating operational capability in all aspects of testing. Data processing. Identifying Out of Specification / Out of Trend test results and inform supervisor to ensure investigation is started within required time frame. Understand and apply GLP. Responsible for the maintenance and operation of instrumentation where needed. Autonomy to independently undertake tests and interpret results based on approved methods and harness the resources to conduct the test. Ensure that QC is performed as required by the ALS F&P Quality Systems. Follow test methodologies and associated procedures. Involved in identifying process improvement within the laboratory. The Essentials A Diploma or bachelor's degree in science (preferably Chemistry). 3 years’ laboratory experience. Strong communication skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent productivity, multi-tasking capability Time management skills. High attention to detail. Strong customer focus. Excellent computer literacy Familiarity with LIMS as required. Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines. Strong quality service attitude and approach. Sound decision making and problem-solving skills. Projects enthusiasm and motivation.
