Make a Meaningful Impact in Housing Support Lutheran Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Officer to join Refuge Community Services team. This role plays a vital part in supporting women who have experienced domestic and family violence to secure safe, sustainable, and long-term housing solutions. Location: Brisbane, QLD Employment: Full-Time position Remuneration: $45.47 - $48.93 ph Super Salary Packaging Access to staff discounts & benefits As a Housing Officer, you will: Provide comprehensive support, information, advocacy, and referrals to clients seeking housing Manage tenancy documentation, agreements, bonds, inspections, and condition reports Coordinate property maintenance in collaboration with the Property Team and external contractors Facilitate training or one-on-one sessions with clients to support tenancy success Maintain accurate client records and housing data as per compliance and reporting requirements Participate in the after-hours on-call roster About You: Experience in housing, homelessness, or community services Strong understanding of the barriers faced by women affected by domestic and family violence and confidence in trauma-informed practice. Excellent communication, advocacy, and relationship-building skills Organised, detail-oriented, and confident working independently Working knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy processes Tertiary qualification in human services or similar Valid Blue Card & NDIS Worker Screening clearance QLD Driver’s Licence Desirable: Experience in the homelessness or domestic and family violence sectors Why Choose Us?
