Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane (other locations to be considered) Salary - $152,074 - $202,614 (depending on experience), plus 15.4% superannuation Temporary role (24 months) Applications close at 11:59pm AEDT, 17 November 2025 The team The Hearing Delegates team is part of the Legal Services Group. The Legal Services Group provides legal advice and support to ASIC across a range of regulatory, enforcement and corporate legal matters, and is also responsible for a range of other functions including the conduct of hearings and making of administrative decisions by Hearing Delegates. We work closely with other teams across ASIC, as well as a range of external stakeholders. The role As a Hearing Delegate , you will Conduct ASIC hearings and make administrative decisions, mainly for financial services and credit industry participants. Chair and co-decide in Financial Services and Credit Panel and Liquidator committee matters. Assist the Markets Disciplinary Panel. Draft timely, clear, and legally sound written decisions. Review concerns, assess facts, and conduct research and support ASIC teams by providing feedback on administrative briefs. The key duties of the position include About you To excel in this role, you'll need substantial experience in administrative and corporate law, ideally supported by legal qualifications. You must be able to conduct and manage hearings with respect and objectivity, comply with administrative laws and processes, and effectively identify and manage risks in decision-making. Strong independent judgement, efficient work habits, and excellent communication and research skills are essential.
