Good mates, good chat, good games. We’re looking for a volunteer who enjoys a good yarn over a cup of coffee and a few friendly games of cards or dominoes. A local gentleman would really value some company during a weekday visit — someone to chat with, share a laugh, and maybe enjoy a little friendly competition. If you like keeping things social, swapping stories, and spending time in good company, this could be a great way to make a difference while having a bit of fun yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. HammondCare HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of elderly people. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community. Requirements 18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare • One hour visits weekly or fortnightly between 9am and 5pm Monday to Sunday, we will work with you to find a suitable time.
