About the role - The GM Data & AI Enablement is the Strategic Leader accountable for transforming internal enterprise data into a trusted, compliant, and high-value asset. This hands-on role is accountable for product management of our internal staff reporting, ensuring superior insights and data foundations. The GM establishes the enterprise-wide governance framework, drives cultural change, and manages the strategic rollout of AI across the Group. Key Responsibilities - Internal Data Product Management & Insights: Direct Product Management for Staff Reporting and Internal Insights, defining the roadmap and requirements for superior analytical products that drive internal business outcomes. CTO Platform Partnership: Collaborate with the CTO to ensure the underlying Data Platform architecture and engineering efforts are prioritized to support data quality, scalability, and accessibility for staff reporting needs. Lead the Corporate Analytics & Insights Manager to prioritize and deliver high-impact, reliable reporting and analysis that drives strategic decision-making for internal business stakeholders and Exco. Drive programs to ensure data definitions are consistent and understood company-wide, instilling a culture of data ownership and accountability. AI Evangelism & Change Leadership: Acts as the internal champion for the safe, effective, and ethical rollout of AI initiatives. Partners directly with the Group Executive of Product, Technology & Data and the People & Culture team to develop AI literacy programs and define best practices that ensure our staff is superior with data and AI tools. Acts as the primary champion for data and AI governance, effectively influencing executive and functional leaders to enforce policy adherence. Data Governance & Risk Implementation: Establish and maintain the comprehensive data governance framework, policies, and procedures for all internal enterprise data, focusing on quality, security, integrity, and privacy. Establish clear, group-wide ethical and operational standards for the responsible usage of Data and AI tools and models to mitigate risks and ensure fair outcomes, directly aligning with the CRO’s risk appetite. Drive the philosophy of "Compliance by Design" into the data ecosystem, ensuring new systems and data pipelines meet defined standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., relating to lending data) from inception. To succeed in this role you will bring with you - Expertise in Data Governance & Compliance: Deep understanding of establishing enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, data quality management, and data classification, particularly within a regulated environment. Data Product Management: Proven experience acting as a Product Manager for internal data platforms (e.g., Data Warehouse, Tableau), defining roadmaps based on internal customer needs and prioritizing technical debt. AI Governance & Risk: Strong knowledge of Responsible AI principles, model risk management, AI ethics, and ensuring model compliance. Analytics and Reporting: Proven ability to translate business needs into robust reporting and analytical requirements for executive consumption. Executive Influence & Diplomacy: Exceptional ability to build consensus and influence executive peers and senior leaders, negotiating technical priorities against compliance mandates. Change Management & Communication: Proven experience driving large-scale organizational change programs, developing executive-level AI literacy initiatives, and communicating complex risk/policy issues clearly. Accountability & Implementation Focus: Demonstrable history of turning abstract policy into hands-on, executable programs, driving accountability for data quality and project completion.
