About the role - The General Manager (GM) - Customer Products is the senior executive leader fully accountable for the revenue generation, commercial success, and strategic growth of the company’s customer-facing product portfolio. This includes defining the overarching product strategy, data monetisation strategy, roadmap, pricing, and overall customer experience (CX), ensuring all products deliver maximum market performance, superior customer value, and robust financial returns. Leading a core functional group that brings the customer voice and commercial focus to the forefront, the GM oversees Product Management, Design & UX Research, and Customer Analytics & Insights. This role is the central hub for synthesizing market opportunities, customer needs, and revenue goals into a clear, unified, and executable product vision that maximizes market share and commercial performance. Key Responsibilities - Commercial & Revenue Accountability: Hold direct accountability for the revenue performance and commercial success of the customer product portfolio. Drive initiatives to optimize pricing, packaging, and data monetization strategies, providing clear, deep inputs to the overall company financial forecasts and planning. Product Strategy & Vision: Define and champion the long-term customer product vision, multi-year strategy, and unified roadmap, ensuring all product investments are strategically aligned with corporate revenue targets and market growth goals. Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a diverse team of product experts, including the Head of Product & Go-to-Market (GTM), Head of Design & UX Research, and the Customer Analytics & Insights Manager. Foster a culture of customer obsession, experimentation, and commercial rigor. Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy: Oversee the GTM function, ensuring successful market positioning, channel strategy, and launch execution. Accountable for monitoring and aggressively reporting on key commercial metrics, including MRR/ARR, LTV, revenue growth, adoption, engagement, NPS and churn. Customer Experience (CX) & Design: Direct the Design & UX Research function to ensure superior, intuitive, and accessible user experiences across the product portfolio, utilizing research and design thinking to validate commercial hypotheses. Data-Driven Decision Making: Direct the Customer Analytics and Insights function to establish robust data governance, accurate reporting, and the application of insights to product prioritization, commercial modeling, and strategic refinement. Cross-Functional Alignment: Serve as the primary product voice to the executive team, ensuring alignment with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing leaders to guarantee efficient technical implementation and maximum revenue realization. To succeed in this role you will bring with you - 10 years of progressive experience in Product Management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., VP Product, GM of a Product Line) that included direct revenue ownership or significant commercial accountability for a product line. Demonstrated success in defining, launching, and scaling a multi-product portfolio strategy that resulted in significant financial and market growth. Deep expertise in product monetization, pricing strategy, packaging models (e.g., subscription, usage-based, tiered), and commercial forecasting. Proven ability to lead and scale high-performing teams across Product Management, UX/UI Design, and Data Insights. Exceptional understanding of Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy and product marketing required to achieve commercial targets. Outstanding executive communication and storytelling skills with the ability to clearly articulate the product vision, business case, customer insights, and financial performance to all levels of the organization. Strong bias for action and experience operating within a high-velocity, Agile development environment. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
