A national leader in hydraulic systems and fluid transfer solutions is seeking an experienced operational leader to step into a General Manager position overseeing a specialised division supporting clients across the oil and gas, drilling, energy, mining and heavy industrial sectors . The Opportunity This division has experienced strong, sustained growth over the past several years and is positioned for further expansion. You’ll take leadership of a capable, motivated and autonomous team , supported by a well-established national brand, international supply chain partners, and strong board-level sponsorship. The role blends strategic leadership and operational discipline , with the scope to influence financial performance, customer relationships, culture, and long-term capability development. Key Responsibilities Lead the business unit and drive performance across operations, financial control, people, service delivery and safety. Manage full P&L ownership , budgeting and cash flow forecasting in a growth environment. Strengthen supply chain management and vendor relationships, including international manufacturing partners. Support enterprise-level relationships with national and global customers, including primes and major operators. Mentor, empower and uplift the team — maintaining a positive, accountable and high-performance culture . Represent the division effectively at the board level through clear reporting, commercial insight and sound decision-making. Work closely with peers across a national branch and distribution network to align service standards and customer outcomes. About You You’re likely: Currently an Operations Manager, Regional Manager, Divisional Leader, or 2IC, ready for your first full GM seat. Experienced in industrial services , oil & gas support, mining services, engineering services, or a related technical-service environment. Strong in financial management — you understand the numbers and how operational decisions drive margins. Comfortable navigating complex distribution or franchise-style customer ecosystems , ideally involving end users, contractors and OEM partners. Skilled in international supply chain , vendor engagement or procurement within technical product/service categories. A people-first leader who builds trust, accountability, enthusiasm and performance in teams. Commercially sharp, practical, adaptable — someone who thrives in ownership, not bureaucracy.
