About the Role We’re looking for a Part-time Front of House professional with a strong beverage focus to lead the daily operations of our wellness café. With a particular emphasis on smoothie production and service, this leadership role is ideal for someone with supervisory experience in a fast-paced café or canteen environment. You'll ensure high standards in food and beverage quality, manage stock and equipment, guide and motivate the team, and play an important role in maintaining a positive, high-performing culture. You’ll also support reporting, financial accountability, and recruitment alongside the broader Food & Beverage team. Required Skills and Experience 2 years’ experience in a café, canteen, or similar food and beverage environment Proven ability to lead, train, and supervise a small team Strong knowledge of smoothie and food preparation, equipment use, and food safety Experience managing inventory, stock control, and ordering Familiarity with end-of-day and financial reporting (desirable) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational and multitasking ability Food Safety Supervisor Certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20kg Key Responsibilities Customer Service Lead by example with an active presence on the floor Ensure efficient, friendly, and consistent customer service Resolve customer inquiries or complaints with a professional, solutions-focused mindset Foster a welcoming, community-driven environment Smoothie & Beverage Operations Lead smoothie production and maintain recipe consistency Train team on correct preparation, presentation, and hygiene standards Support food and coffee service during peak periods Minimise and record wastage, updating recipes when required Stock Control & Ordering Monitor stock levels and order supplies proactively Oversee stock rotation and reduce waste Ensure adherence to food safety protocols and handling standards Equipment & Venue Maintenance Maintain all equipment in safe working order Coordinate regular maintenance and audits with Facilities team Uphold daily and weekly cleaning schedules Communicate with the cleaning team or site staff to maintain hygiene Team Leadership & Recruitment Lead, train, and support team members Encourage a positive and collaborative culture Financial Accountability Monitor and manage variable costs (e.g. labour and stock) Support reporting on cost control and performance Contribute to cost-effective decision-making and menu planning Reporting & Meetings Complete accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports Communicate updates to the Cluster Manager and National F&B team Work Health and Safety Ensure compliance with WHS standards and conduct regular safety audits. Educate staff on WHS policies to maintain a safe working environment.
