Fishing Reel Technician

We are currently accepting applications for a permanent full-time Fishing Reel Technician to work onsite, with Shimano Australia Fishing in Caringbah. The primary duties will include but are not limited to. Servicing and repairing reels to the highest possible standard Identifying reel faults and failures Prepping (pre servicing and spooling up) reels for sponsored anglers, company associates and Shimano management. To provide customers with required information about upgrading parts to their reels when requested Provide customers with information on proper care and maintenance procedures for fishing reels. Ensure data integrity to assist in stock level management for spare parts and rolling stock take. To assist in picking / packing of spare parts orders To assist in managing materials, grease, lubricants, and ensuring all health and safety guidelines are met. Check warranty information, purchase receipts and ensure reels were purchased in compliance with Shimano warranty terms and conditions. To be successful in this role you will need to have: Strong knowledge of Shimano products specifically reels. Participate in recreational fishing regularly and can successfully demonstrate knowledge and genuine awareness of fishing tackle Mechanically minded, ability to diagnose, read schematics, undertake mechanical repairs, action mechanical faults and problem solve independently. Demonstrate high attention to detail and take pride in work. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer centric attitude High level computer literacy and proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Prior experience in servicing of fishing reels or working in a similar workshop is highly regarded. This position would suit an individual who is mechanically minded and familiar with Shimano fishing products / equipment. The successful candidate will be working onsite in our Caringbah Head Office and be required to a work 7am to 3pm Monday – Friday.
