Location: Parramatta, NSW Hourly Rate: Upto $80 per hour Super Role Highlights: This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Financial Reporting Accountant to support the Senior team in preparing consolidated financial statements for Australia and New Zealand, ensuring compliance with both US GAAP and local IFRS standards. The role involves managing the lease accounting process, and ensuring all financial statements and disclosures are accurate and compliant. You'll have the chance to work in a dynamic, multinational environment, contributing directly to the integrity and transparency of the company's financial reporting while building your technical expertise in a high-profile role. Role Overview Reporting to the Senior Reporting Manager, you will take ownership of preparing accurate and timely financial statements while playing a key role in an immediate lease data migration onto a new ERP system. We are looking for a proactive, hands-on professional who is willing to roll up their sleeves and support the team in addressing gaps in end-of-year reporting tasks. This is an excellent opportunity to make a tangible impact, gain exposure to complex financial processes, and contribute to the success of a dynamic, fast-paced finance function. Responsibilities Prepare consolidated financial statements, including elimination journal entries across multiple entities. Support the creation, enhancement, and accuracy of external financial reporting and statutory accounts. Analyse variances and research information related to consolidated financial statements. Perform Share-Based Accounting (including ESPP) for ANZ, booking entries monthly and invoicing the corporate office. Build and maintain strong relationships with international reporting units. Coordinate the monthly close process for lease accounting. Assist the finance team in identifying, analysing, tracking, and resolving differences between US GAAP and local IFRS adjustments. Research and document complex technical accounting issues under US GAAP and IFRS. Implement accounting control procedures and ensure compliance with SOX requirements. Support internal and external audit requests and provide required documentation. Perform other accounting and finance tasks as assigned to support the team and business objectives. Candidate Profile A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required. CPA or CA qualified 3 years Big 4 or top-tier national accounting experience required, 7-10 years of related accounting experience and managing departmental goals, Thorough understanding of USGAAP, IFRS and SOX requirements, Strong computer skills required. Experience with Oracle, BW, BPC (or comparable ERP Systems), Onesource (or equivalent) and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
