The Role As the Accountant, you will be supporting the Financial Controller in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting the organisation’s financial health. This role has a strong hands-on focus across the Finance function that will include some involvement with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in the early stages. An Accounts Assistant will be coming on board soon too so that you won’t be as involved in those activities. You will also be contributing to reporting, compliance, and business decision-making. Your tasks and duties will include: Ownership of Accounts Payable and Receivable including supplier/customer invoices, payments, receipts, reconciliations, and query resolution. An Assistant will be brought on soon to help. Daily bank reconciliations and maintenance of accurate financial records. Preparation and submission of BAS, Payroll Tax, and ABS returns to ensure compliance. Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, while supporting external audits and compliance requirements. Collaborate with operational teams to strengthen financial controls, reporting accuracy, and provide insights to support decision-making. About You We’re looking for an Accountant who wants to develop their career in Finance with training and mentorship from an experienced senior Financial Controller within a stable and growing business and exciting projects coming up. To be successful in this role you will need: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA or studying toward preferred) with proven accounting experience Experience in AP/AR and strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and compliance requirements Experience with Enterprise Accounting package or ERP - SAP will be rolled out in the next 18 months, and you’ll need intermediate Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving ability High attention to detail, organisational and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Hands-on, practical approach with demonstrated success in manufacturing/warehousing environments and effective stakeholder engagement Benefits Up to $115,000 Super depending upon experience Training and development by an experienced senior Finance and Accounting professional who enjoys helping people grow in their career Be part of a leading global business with long established local operations Supportive, friendly and collaborative team culture Opportunities for professional development and growth Convenient location in a well-established industrial setting, parking onsite Flexible working options If this sounds like you or someone you know, please click APPLY or share this link.
