Financial Accountant – Lease Accounting Ramsay Health Care | Corporate Finance Team | Sydney Head Office Are you a proactive and detail-driven accountant looking to take the next step in your career? Ramsay Health Care is seeking a Financial Accountant with a focus on lease accounting to join our collaborative Corporate Finance team. What you’ll do You’ll play a key role in managing Ramsay’s lease portfolio and ensuring compliance with IFRS 16 , working closely with colleagues across Finance and Operations. Your responsibilities will include: Managing the end-to-end accounting for leases, including recognition, measurement and disclosure under IFRS 16 Maintaining and reconciling the lease database to ensure completeness and accuracy Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual lease accounting entries and reconciliations Supporting the budgeting and forecasting of lease-related expenses Contributing to general ledger integrity through journal preparation, accruals and prepayments Partnering with hospital finance teams to review and analyse balance sheet KPIs and provide accounting advice Supporting year-end and half-year reporting, including preparation of disclosures and assisting with audits About you You’re hands-on, technically capable, and thrive in a collaborative environment. You’ll bring: Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or a related field, with CA or CPA qualification (or working towards it) Hands-on experience in lease accounting, ideally with IFRS 16 exposure which will be clearly outlined in your application Solid technical accounting knowledge and strong analytical skills Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage across teams Experience in a large, complex organisation (ASX-listed experience desirable) What’s in it for you?
