Purpose of the Role BGIS is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to support the financial operations and reporting requirements of a major telecommunications account. Reporting to the Finance & Commercial Manager, with a dotted line to the Account Lead, this role ensures accuracy, transparency, and compliance across all financial activities. You’ll guide and support one team member while working closely with both client and internal stakeholders to maintain clear communication and effective financial practices. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-focused, and calm under pressure , with strong relationship skills and a steady, solutions-oriented approach. Key Responsibilities Manage month-end reporting, forecasting, and variance reviews. Maintain accuracy and integrity across all financial data and submissions. Coordinate budgets and ongoing financial planning activities. Review procurement, contracts, and compliance documentation. Support and mentor one team member, fostering capability and confidence. Partner with operational teams to improve visibility and streamline processes. Build positive, professional relationships with client representatives. Education, Experience & Skills Essential: Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent). 5 years’ experience in finance management or accounting roles (all levels encouraged to apply) Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/financial systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to manage financial operations in a structured environment. Desirable: Experience in facilities management, property, or service-based sectors. Familiarity with SOX or contract governance frameworks. Experience providing coaching or day-to-day support to team members. Workplace Flexibility This position is based at Macquarie Park , with hybrid work options available following the training period. Possibility of extension or permanency depending on Client Contract Renewal.
