Job Description We are seeking a full-time Field and Laboratory Technician to join our team, splitting time between fieldwork in Newman and lab work at Perth Airport. This role involves organizing and executing essential field operations in the Pilbara region and surrounding areas. If you’re ready for a dynamic role with diverse environments, apply today! Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Field Collect samples like Potable Water, Wastewater, Sewage Water, Soil and Hygiene samples. Prepare daily field reports. Maintenance of all sampling and field equipment. Perform all required QC checks and collect required QC samples as requested. Build and maintain good working relationships with all clients. Arrange all field consumables, sampling media and equipment as required for each job. Prepare Job Safety Analysis and risk assessments as required for each allocated job. Laboratory Undertake routine preparations and analysis of soil and water samples. Carry out scheduled instrument calibration and maintenance in accordance with written procedures. Understand and adapt general laboratory QA/QC criteria and NATA accreditation requirements. Ensure that safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) is used correctly and when necessary.
