Your Employer Our client is a highly regarded, vertically integrated horticultural business headquartered in Forth, Tasmania. Operating since 1981, they are one of Australia's leading family-owned fresh produce companies, producing over 50,000 tonnes annually of premium vegetables including carrots, onions, broccoli, brassicas, and more. With a strong focus on sustainable farming, quality assurance, and operational innovation, they manage owned, leased, and contract farms within a 50km radius of Forth. The Role As the Farm Operations Manager, you will coordinate and manage all farm employees across key activities including groundwork, crop establishment, spraying, fertilising, irrigation and soil maintenance. Reporting to the Chief Agricultural Officer, your main responsibilities include: Lead and support up to 30 on-farm staff including seasonal workers Allocate machinery and schedule key activities: groundwork, spraying, irrigation, harvest Monitor compliance with WHS, food safety, and environmental standards Maintain strong communication with Agronomists, Field Officers, and site leaders Oversee equipment maintenance, farm hygiene, and operational data accuracy Manage training, performance, and professional development of staff For a full list of responsibilities, a detailed Job Description can be provided upon request. About You Our ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience, strong communication, and a collaborative management style. Whilst experience in row-cropping is advantageous, those with other horticultural expertise are strongly urged to apply.
