About the team We are Australia's trade remedies authority - the Anti-Dumping Commission. The commission is responsible for undertaking investigations into allegations of unfair international trade practices involving goods entering Australia and administering Australia's anti-dumping legislation. Our ideal candidate To undertake this role, you will be required to demonstrate that you have: strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels strong time management and organisation skills and the ability to effectively prioritise tasks a proactive can-do disposition with a track record of demonstrating initiative strong Microsoft Office suite skills the ability to apply a high level of confidentiality, judgement and initiative to all situations high standards of professional and personal integrity an ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast paced and dynamic environment attention to detail Previous Executive Assistant (EA) experience is not required if the ideal candidate has the right attitude, personality, and approach. The key duties of the position include Secretariat for decision-making bodies (e.g. coordination of papers, agendas, minutes, and directly liaising with branch heads, directors and staff. provide executive secretarial and administrative support to the Commissioner including arranging meetings, email and diary management. manage deadlines and clearances, on behalf of the Commissioner, using judgement to prioritise and ensure timely adherence to timeframes. play a leadership role to the administrative support team across the ADC. build and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholder on behalf of the Commission in line with the APS Values and Code of Conduct and relevant departmental policies. work collaboratively across the executive team and the commission to support the Commissioner as required. coordinate and prepare correspondence and briefing material as required Additional responsibilities may include: support the implementation and management of project and program activities build technical expertise that contributes to business unit outcomes undertake research and analysis network across the department and APS, including having a high level of communication with Senior Executives and the Executive Support Team.
