Find out more about working with us. Who We Are: Murrumba State Secondary College opened its doors in January 2012, welcoming its first cohort of Year 7 and 8 students. Located in the growing and vibrant area of Murrumba Downs, the College features first class learning facilities and surrounds. Murrumba State Secondary College is proud to be the first state school in Queensland to welcome Year 7 students into a secondary setting. Our students study the Australian Curriculum, which is taught by our supportive and highly-skilled teaching staff. Step Into Your Next Chapter: * Source Australian School Based Apprenticeships (ASBA) and vocational training opportunities for prospective students by actively seeking opportunities for student placements in industry and potential School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships. * Develop and maintain relationships with employers, training providers and apprenticeship support agencies and alternative learning pathways. * Assist students to transition to employment and make effective career choices. * Provide regular updates of the program outcomes and help identify issues that may impact on the success of the program. * Collaborate with the Senior Schooling team to monitor and track student outcomes in vocational education and training pathways. * Assist in the recruitment and induction of students into vocational programs, ensuring work readiness and compliance with relevant legislation. * Organise and participate in information sessions, career expos, and mock job interviews to support students' career education. The Perfect Fit: The successful applicant will work closely with the Senior Schooling team and will be required to demonstrate an ability to: * Assist in the ongoing delivery of the School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship program and assist in managing business and industry partnerships to maximise opportunities for secondary students. * Establish and maintain effective networks and work collaboratively with business and industry groups to build strong and vibrant links that promote career pathways for students.
