Description Create your best future and join Westpac as an Engineering Manager What’s the role? An exciting opportunity is available for an Engineering Manager to lead and expand an Application Maintenance and Modernisation Centre of Excellence within the Westpac Group. This role offers a unique chance to take full accountability for the end-to-end management and modernisation of user-developed applications (UDAs) on behalf of customer business units. The focus will be on ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met and that all work is delivered on time, with no disruption to business operations. What do I need? Previous experience demonstrating independent decision-making and self-management in complex projects Experience in database design and building/supporting solutions using VBA, SQL, Previous experience in leading/mentoring talent Experience working in a large, complex organization, preferably in financial services. Leading a delivery and/or support function. Experience with SharePoint, Python and Power Platform. Experience in incident management and communications. Certifications in Microsoft Office Specialist and/or automation technologies (e.g., Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Platform) are highly desirable. Desirable knowledge: JavaScript, JSON, TypeScript, C#, HTML, .NET, Microsoft Azure, RESTful web services, ASP.NET. Experience in agile ways of working. Proven ability to liaise with Senior Management. Track record of delivering outcomes on time, on budget, and with required quality. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
