YOUR NEW ROLE Our client, a recognised leader in high-performance sealing solutions, is seeking a driven and ambitious Applications Engineer who’s ready to combine hands-on design expertise with growing leadership responsibility. You will be mentored over the next 12 months to step into the role of Engineering Manager. This is a structured succession plan that brings a long term career plan working with excellent people and product. This is an opportunity to stay deeply involved in the technical and design side of engineering while expanding your influence across projects, people, and process improvement. You’ll work closely with customers, the sales team, and production to deliver tailored solutions that drive performance and customer success — all while building the foundation for future leadership. In this role you will: Provide technical product application support and recommendations to customers and internal teams Design and develop custom solutions and components Conduct site visits, equipment surveys, and technical workshops with customers. Deliver product training and installation support for industrial clients. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement ABOUT YOU As an experienced Mechanical Applications Engineer, you will be a practical engineer who enjoys variety — from hands-on technical work and mentoring others. You’re comfortable in front of customers, confident solving complex mechanical problems, and ready to take the next career leap into leadership. You will also bring the following skills / attributes: Engineering degree - Mechanical Demonstrated experience in a mechanical applications engineering role Strong analytical, problem-solving and data analysis capabilities Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, 3D modelling Industrial experience and product knowledge (particularly industrial sealing) is HIGHLY DESIRED BE REWARDED with a competitive salary superannuation, with bonus potential PLUS significant structured career and leadership development to Engineering manager.
