Tricom Engineering Group is currently seeking an experienced Electronic Equipment Trades Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of electronic equipment and systems integral to our electrical engineering projects. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough examinations and inspections of electronic equipment and systems used in commercial and industrial electrical installations, including control panels, switchboards, monitoring systems, and integrated components. Regularly inspect and maintain electronic systems to prevent malfunctions, conducting routine checks and adjustments to uphold performance and reliability on project sites. Perform routine cleaning and servicing of electronic components to ensure optimal operation and enhance the longevity of the systems. Utilise diagnostic tools and techniques to identify issues, analyse test results, and pinpoint the root cause of malfunctions in complex electrical systems. Address urgent issues such as wiring faults, component failures, or system malfunctions to minimise project downtime and ensure safety. Make necessary adjustments to correct issues and optimise performance, including calibrating sensors, configuring controllers, and fine-tuning system settings. Replace defective components and remove damaged parts and wiring as needed to ensure the seamless operation and reliability of electronic systems. Reassemble electronic equipment and systems following repairs or maintenance procedures, ensuring proper alignment and integration of all components. Conduct comprehensive testing to verify that all systems operate smoothly and in accordance with engineering specifications and Australian standards. Provide clear and concise guidance to clients and site staff on correct operating procedures and best practices for maintenance and troubleshooting. Execute precise installation procedures for electronic equipment and systems, ensuring accurate placement and integration within the larger electrical infrastructure. Apply expert knowledge of electronic principles and industry standards to commission newly installed equipment effectively and ensure it meets all design requirements. Requirements: Relevant certificate; At least one year's relevant work experience; Strong knowledge of electronic principles and systems, preferably within the construction or electrical engineering industry; Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Good hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity.
